For centuries, plants have existed as a source of food and medicine for all civilations around the globe. Plants and their healing properties on the body have been studied for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine. Herbal medicine was commonly practiced in the early 1900's in the United States by Eclectic physicians and as home folk remedies. Once antibiotics were created in the 1930's, people began to turn more toward pharmaceuticals and chemical derived medicinals instead of herbalism. Unfortunately, the overall health of most Americans is at a crisis state where many adults and children are suffering from various chronic diseases. These chronic conditions have become so commonplace that most people just accept them as a "normal" part of life. While pharmaceutical use is at an all-time high, many people are slowly realizing that diet, lifestyle, and traditional herbalism have a vital role to play in overall wellness. The one size fits all philsophy that has dominated mainstream medicine is simply a bandage that does not allow the body to do what it is fully capable of, which is to heal itself when given the proper resources. Arise Wellness Center's Herbal Apothecary was created from our passion to use what God provided in the natural world to fuel our bodies with proper nutrition and to aid the body in restoring balance and overall wellness. There are many plants that have similar purposes but not all plants are best suited for each individual constitution and ailment at all times. Utilizing herbal knowledge with cutting edge technology allows us to create general herbal remedies as well as customized herbal remedies that are synergistic with each individual person. Herbal Tea Baths & Salt Baths

Quality Counts In Your Wellness Journey

Use caution when choosing bath salts and herbal products. The goal of herbal tea baths or salt detox baths is to promote healing and support the various organs/systems of the body. Many bath salts found in stores are nothing more than ordinary processed table salt mixed with fragrances. Inexpensive salts are often processed and treated. Make sure your bath salt is 100% natural. Commercial processing causes beneficial minerals and nutrients to be lost. Dendritic salts are often used commercially and do not contain the benefits of naturally harvested salts. Bath product manufacturers love dendritic salt because its greater surface area holds fragrances and colors better. Artificial colors and fragrances are not healing to the body. If you want a pretty bath product then commercially prepared is the way to go. If you want therapeutic bath salts and tea baths then our small batches of hand-crafted Herbal Apothecary products will be a delight to your wellness routine. Our Herbal Tea Baths & Salt Baths are also the least expensive therapy per session & can be done at your home on your own schedule!

Tea Bath Tips

Stay hydrated to avoid dizziness, nausea and fatigue during and following detox baths. Drink plenty of purified water and/or herbal teas while bathing.
The hotter the water, the greater the detoxification pathways are stimulated as pores are opened. Always test your water before fully getting in to avoid burns. Exercise caution with young children as they do not generally tolerate intense heat as easily as adults.
Submerge as much of your body as possible in the bath to aid in optimal detoxification. Ensure your abdomen & feet are fully submerged.

Tea Bath Tips

Steep your tea herbs & then pour in the bath water OR put your herbs in a muslin tea bag to steep and then add the entire herb bag to your bath. Squeezing the herb bag periodically will continue to release the herbal essences throughout your bath.
If you enjoy bathing in the loose herbs & flowers, use a drain guard to protect your plumbing and be prepared to clean the tub!
If you do not have a whole house water filter then utilize a faucet filter or add water filter tablets to the water before your herbs. Bathing in chlorinated water is not healthy for your body.

From single herbs to herbal blends, tinctures are suitable for all ages as well as your furry pet family members too! Our herbs are sourced from certified organic sources or grown in our many indoor and outdoor herb gardens on site at our wellness office farm. Some conditions, such as acne are best treated with topical infused oils paired with herbal tinctures to help address internal organ/system balancing. Custom tinctures can be created from your BioEnergetic Scan results as well. Contact us for specific options and your individual wellness needs. As tinctures can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks to "cure" we also offer resources for ready-made tinctures from trusted professional sources.
